The Victoria; sexier than a Scott and Johnny night infront of TimeTeam...
When not doubling up as Squashy John's living room, the Victoria is where of a Wednesday and Saturday you will find the 'athletes' of Tilburg Regents nursing their wrecked and ravaged limbs and soothing the pain of defeat with premium German beer and plates of chips.
The South West of London can represent a problem for the football loving individual. If you don't know what you’re looking for you can end up in a pub populated by Farquhars, Tarquins and Tabatha. Nothing wrong with that if your idea of a good day out is to talk about little Olly and his succes at playing Violin in the Primary 1, you're idea of good clothes is slacks, fawn coloured jeans with a Cotton Trader rugby shirt tucked in and slacks and your musical vocabulary revolves around the latest Simply Red 'Back to Mine' album. Oh and you think Touch Rugby is the game of the 21st century.
Well we have no truck with that at the Victoria. You can take your 4x4 and leave it at home. Slack is where your belt sits at after Karpo has ordered 4 bowls of chips and burger and you have downed 4 pints of the black stuff. And the big screen in the pub hosts plenty of football - no danger of the barman telling you its not a sports bar. Saturday afternoon the Victoria hosts Jeff Stelling and midweeks are resplendent with Andy Gray. It’s the way it should be.
Great owners, good beer and food, a pool table, a friendly dog and lots of toys for Matty - why go anywhere else?
We're all man. We have an aura...
