Growing up on the hard streets of a council estate in South East London, I am used to working with disadvantaged souls with little talent. This is why I fit so well in to the Tilburg set-up.

Formally a winger in my earlier years, I have turned my attention to becoming half of Tilburg's solid centre back partnership. This defender plays with the class, style and pace of his South London role model, Rio Ferdinard. This has given him the nickname of Junior Rio to many of his team mates.

I don't want to score goals and have the glory, I just want the most Man of the Match awards.

The lads say.....

Kirk is, on his day, a really, really great player. A matchwinner and exemplar. He is one of the few FCTR lads that can shut out the best forwards in the league. His drive and tenacity can be incredible.

He doesn’t always have those days though… Kirk follows closely in the footsteps of big Rio by having the odd nap in the middle of the game. Sometimes he will chuck a teddy at incredible velocity too.

But mostly, he’s a match winner......and he's won the odd lighter too....
