Sicknote Thomas is a reverential figure for most of the Burg lads.

A very useful player. Tall, groomed, and with a fine array of skills, Thomas is a player’s favourite for his workman-like ethos, no doubt honed from watching Forest at their peak.

Unfortunately, he is the most injury prone player in the history of the beautiful game. He makes Jamie Redknapp look built from adamantine.

Suffered a nasty leg break at Eastcote, and for the present has hung up his boots. We hope, though, one day to see the influence of Sam pervading through the bootroom again. Or in the pub, where he is equally good.

And he’s good at impressions and a lovely chap.

We'd like to get a good pre-seson under our belt, but we've already ran out of notches...
